Our Synagogue Ladies Guild must surely be the longest serving committee in the community, having begun over seventy years ago. Although we are a smaller band of ladies now, we are still very busy. Apart from preparing Kiddushim for members’ Simchas and Yom Tovim and once monthly on Shabbat Mevorachin, we also hold fund raising events, the proceeds of which are used for shul purposes. Unfortunately we cannot now hold our once famed twice-yearly luncheons, but these are being replaced by a series of brunches which are proving to be equally popular. We always manage to find interesting speakers and the food is always delicious.
